Transfer: USB > HD > WAV > FLAC (8).Birds of Delay is the duo of Steven Warwick and Luke Younger, who are based in Leeds and London. They have become one of the most consistent and best offerings from the UK noise scene, with a prolific outpouring of material, through a never ending list of labels, including No Fun, American Tapes, and Alcoholic Narcholepsy, and their continually evolving live performances. While their sound is underpinned by some almighty drones, the pair bring out an ever-changing array of instruments and electronic trickery to create some of the most intricately rendered ‘noise’ around. In their own words, they craft “”destructive improvisations to rattle the body and shake the soul in an attempt to create an emotionally cathartic experience for both performer and listener”
Supporting Talibam! on the night is the newly formed supergroup that is Seamonger. Made up of Gavin Prior (on noise and electronics) fom Toymonger with Scott (on drums) and Damien (on guitar) of Limerick based rockers SeaDog, they formed only recently and this is their first ever outing live..
Full soundboard recording of both these bands. The Seamonger set wasn’t totally miked up so there’s a bit of detail lost where it wasn’t going through the PA, the BoD set wascompletely going through the PA so nothing is lost. Really great set though I remember on the night very little people turned up (it ws a Thursday in Limerick in summer after all) and a few of those that did were scared out of the room by how loud the Birds of Delay set was.
